Bushwick Avenue Fire 2024

    On May 1st, 2024 Fire Erupted in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bushwick. The blaze tore through the structures located on the corner of Bushwick Avenue and Cooper St.  Left decimated were a set of apartments and a grocery, while the neighboring John Coker Doc Afterschool program was met with flooded basement classrooms. Residents of the apartments were assisted by the Red Cross for temporary sheltering.
